Top Ten Ways To Be An April Fool

In honor of the holiday this week, I’d thought I’d take a quick look at what the Bible has to say about fools.  Here are ten quick tips from the book of Proverbs on how even the smartest among us can act like an April fool.  Pretty sure I’ve done all of these.  

So without further ado . . .

Here are the top ten ways to a be a fool in April or any other month: 

10)  Spread slander (Prov 10:18)

9)  Don’t listen to advice (Prov 12:15)

8)  Show annoyance at once instead of overlooking an insult (Prov 12:16)

7)  Blow off making amends for doing wrong (Prov 14:9)

6)  Be hotheaded and reckless (Prov 14:16)

5)  Delight in airing your own opinions (Prov 18:2)

4)  Be quick to argue (Prov 20:9)

3)  Devour all you have (Prov 21:20)

2)  Give full vent to your anger (Prov 29:11)

Drum roll, please . . . the number one way to be an April fool . . .

1)  Trust in yourself (Prov 28:26)

I can speak from experience that any or all of these will lead to unprecedented foolishness if you want to give them a shot this April Fool’s Day.  Try them out and celebrate the holiday like you never have before!
